Features Comparison

In the following subsections, we will compare the features & in-game content of both mods in details:
Resources
BSD Brawl: As it runs on the official SC servers, you don’t get unlimited resources. You have to play matches or open Starr drops to earn coins & gems. Whatever the amount of Resources you have in the account in Brawl Stars will be the same in the BSD Brawl as well.
Nulls Brawl: It has unlimited gems & coins. You don’t need to grind the game.
Game Modes & Maps
BSD Brawl: BSD Brawl game modes follows the same rotation of Brawl Stars as both are running on the same servers.
Nulls Brawl: As its a private server, game modes & maps rotations are different from the BSD Brawl. It offers more game modes. Some game modes which are now removed from Brawl Stars are also available in it.
In-Game Content
BSD Brawl: You have to play the matches, earn trophies & points to progress on the Starr Road to unlock common & rare brawlers. Everything will be unlocked progressively.
Nulls Brawl: Everything is unlocked from the beginning. It has no need for grinding. Be it brawler, cosmetics, or brawl pass, everything is unlocked for free.
Theme & Music
BSD Brawl: It includes 160+ themes & background music. You can apply any of them. No restriction.
Nulls Brawl: It follows the same theme & music as the current version of the Brawl Stars. You can’t change the theme to any other.
Camera Modes
BSD Brawl: It has three camera modes – default 2.5D top-down perspective mode, fully zoomed out mode showing the full map from top, and a close up 2.5D mode with camera just behind the brawler, almost giving 3D feeling.
Nulls Brawl: It has the same default camera mode. No other modes.
Supercell ID
BSD Brawl: It supports Supercell ID. Players can log in with their SC ID and play with their main account.
Nulls Brawl: As it runs on the private servers, it doesn’t use Supercell ID. It does have the same concept of saving the players’ progress. It’s just named Nulls Connect instead of Supercell Connect. Same email address can be used to create account on both.
Clans
BSD Brawl: You can join or create clans, invite your friends, and play together. The clan will be on the official servers, so it will be in the Brawl Stars as well.
Nulls Brawl: Any clan you create here will be on their private servers, and not in the Brawl Stars.
In-App Purchases
BSD Brawl: In-app purchases not available in it. If you want to buy any in-app item that costs real money, then you have to use the Brawl Stars.
Nulls Brawl: It doesn’t have any in-game item that costs real-money, so there are no in-app purchases either. Everything is unlocked, or all available in gems.
Servers
BSD Brawl: It runs on the official Supercell servers. It also gives you 20+ official battle server options to play on.
Nulls Brawl: It runs on the private servers, that’s why you get everything unlocked & maxed, and unlimited resources.
Matchmaking
BSD Brawl: It has the Supercell player base. So, the matching is against real players. And its player base is bigger than Nulls Brawl.
Nulls Brawl: You will be matched with & against Nulls Brawl players only. Everyone will have the same features as you. Its player base is not big as compared to BSD.
Updates
BSD Brawl: When Supercell releases new update for Brawl Stars, you won’t be able to play on BSD Brawl until you update the BSD Brawl as well. But the update for BSD Brawl usually comes after weeks.
Nulls Brawl: Nulls Brawl is not dependent on the Brawl Stars. You can play the Nulls Brawl even when Brawl Stars get new update. And their developers releases the new update faster than BSD.
